32/365: Dance Baby

Ugh.  Should not have cut her hands off in this photo.  But, it is the only one I took this day.

Olivia still loves dance class.  I am so happy that she is sticking with it.  We are really looking forward to this year's recital.  We practice at home, and it won't be long before Cameron knows the routine as well as we do!

25/365: Our New Routine

When we lived in the Lakes Region, Olivia and I had a dance class day tradition of getting a blueberry muffin at a local coffee shop.  You can read about one of those adventures here.  Since moving to Stratham we have found a new place for our Wednesday morning dance class routine.  There is this local place called Country View Restaurant.  The kids call it "The Moose Place" because it has a picture of a moose on the sign.  I had been here a few times with my parents over the course of my lifetime, but now it is "our place".  The waitresses all know us by name and take very good care of us whenever we are there.  Olivia orders a chocolate chip pancake and gets chocolate all over her face.  Donna, one of our waitresses, has a little girl and we will soon be getting together for a play date.  Maybe even some skiing.  We like the restaurant, even though Olivia's face in this photo tells a different story...

On a side note, the camera on my Droid is garbage.  I should have taken the plunge and got an iPhone (although it was far from FREE and I couldn't pass up FREE since I can't pay my heating bill...)

To Dance is to Dream

Olivia had her first day of dance class on Wednesday.  She loves it and I loved watching her.  I'm so happy we are able to give her this opportunity.  I took dance with two of my brothers and our close friends and I have memories to cherish my whole life.

(Please pardon my ballet terms if incorrect, it has been quite some time since
I have used them...)

She was so dainty.  It was the cutest thing!  She is taking the class with her friend Maria.  It's a very small class and the teacher is wonderful.  At the end of class while Olivia was changing her shoes she said, "Momma, I will come back to this class."  I'm looking forward to it!

Dancing Queen

Olivia loves to dance.  While all the other kids that I watch are sleeping,
Olivia and I spend some time working on our dance moves.
Her favorite songs right now include, Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus,
Dancing Queen from Mamma Mia!, Hot Dog! by They Might be Giants,
and Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison.

She has some pretty incredible moves!  I have no idea where she gets
them from ;)  I have been trying out some of her moves on Saturday
nights when I go out dancing with my fabulous friends/co-workers.
The bottom left photo of the above set of pictures is the move we call
"The Heisman", and below is the "Oops, I did it again!"

She really gets into it!  I love my new camera!  I feel like
I can actually capture the energy in my photos.

I love the tongue in these photos.  She just cracks me up!

We paused quite a bit to give Sydney some love and affection.
Olivia adores both of her dogs, but she and Sydney have a
very special bond!

This is how Olivia and I spend our "rest time" lately.  Not so much
resting, but a whole lot of exercise and fun!  Keep on dancing, baby girl.
