My Nana passed away this morning. Cameron called her Nana 2. She was a wonderful lady who always had a smile on her face, even at the end. The world will be different without her here, but I feel blessed to have had her as a Nana. I will miss her smile and extra long hugs. She will be missed by many.
The hardest part for me at this very moment is trying to explain it to my kids. Cameron asks some pretty tough questions. "Does everybody die?" I am speculating as to what the motive is behind that question. I wonder if he's thinking about his own Nana and Grampa when he asks this question, or maybe his Mommy or Daddy. I wonder because I see the slightest hint of fear in his eyes when he asks it, but I'm afraid to ask.
