::Ten on Ten:: September 2011

Ten on Ten:  On the tenth day of the month take a photo an hour for ten consecutive hours and link it over at "a bit of sunshine".  Here is my set for September 10, 2011:

10:00 a.m. - Soccer Practice

Cameron is on the Kelly Green team.  It was a fun morning at the first day of soccer.

11:15 a.m. - I Got My Music Back

While I was making lunch I looked over at my iPod, which has not been turning on for over a week, and it had magically come back to life.  I guess it realized how much I needed it.  My music makes me happy.

12:00 - Our Yard

I love where we live.  It has its down side, but the plus side is when my children say, "Mommy, can we go to the playground?" I get to say "Yes!" every single time.

1:00 - Battleship... again

The other plus side of where we live is that when Olivia still wants to be at the playground, but Cameron wants to play Battleship, we can do both at the same time!

 2:30 p.m. - Yarn Shopping

I have not really had any reason to buy new yarn, but today I wanted to start a new project, and yarn makes me happy, so we went yarn shopping.  The kids picked their colors for their new sweaters, but the jury is still out on that.  Neon yellow and bright blue were not the colors I had in mind.  This gray will do for my new project.

3:00 p.m. - Ice Cream... Yum!

The only way I could get the kids to come to the yarn store with me is if I promised them some ice cream on the way home.  I really should think of a bribe that has fewer calories!

4:00 - I Said Yes Again

I am telling you, I love having a playground in our yard!  When we got home the kids wanted to go back to the playground.  They play so independently, and they make new friends every time, so I just sat in the grass and started to knit.

5:00 - It Has to Get Done

I do not mind cleaning and dishes and laundry.  I actually really enjoy folding clothes.  I hate putting laundry away.  You will usually find one or two baskets of clean folded clothes somewhere in my house on any given day.  Eventually it all gets worn again, so it is all good!

6:00 - Yodeling Cow Girl

The kids watched Toy Story 3 before bed.  It was pizza and movie night, my favorite night of the week!  While the credits were rolling Olivia went into her bedroom and came out looking like this.  I love this kid!

7:30 - Mommy Time

Yoga.  I just started doing it again.  It is amazing how tight your muscles get if you don't stretch them every day.  I will take baby steps to flexibility.

A glimpse into my day.  I liked it, and I get to wake up and do it all over again tomorrow!

Day 72 - Ten on Ten

It's the tenth day of February.  Do you know what that means?  On the tenth day of every month, I take one photo every hour for ten consecutive hours to capture a true "day in the life".  Ten on Ten.  Today was a pretty exceptional, ordinary day.  There are a few photos in here that fit today's joy of LOVE prompt, "Space - Where They are Comfortable."

My ten hours began at 9 a.m. enjoying a burst of sunlight in my favorite cozy corner.

A trip to the yarn store, yippee!!!

A lunch date with the hubby and this cute kid!

Back home to practice the piano.

Olivia came home from school!

 Little Cameron snuggles the pup.

Cameron loves to snuggle with me in my corner and read his books.

Olivia and my arch nemesis, television!  The glow and Olivia's zombie-like posture reminds me of Poltergeist right before Carolann gets taken into the TV!

Cameron's tooth is really loose now and it is starting to scare him.  Probably doesn't help that it freaks me out a little bit.  I did cry because he is so upset and I do not like to see him scared like that.

Did you notice all the comfortable spaces?  That was my day.  How was your day?

Day 41 - Ten on Ten: January

On the tenth day of every month, take one photo every hour for ten consecutive hours.  Here is my Ten on Ten:

Olivia has a cold.  She woke up in the middle of the night very stuffed up and sad.  I promised her a movie day so she would calm down and go back to sleep.  It is nights like these I am glad we bedshare because the night would have been terrible had I had to get out of my nice warm bed.  She played the keyboard during Mamma Mia! and danced.  She wasn't that sick, I guess.

9 a.m.                                                 10 a.m.

11 a.m.  The view from the gym where I work out.

Grapefruit is in season.  It was on sale at Hannaford so I grabbed a bunch.  It just so happens to be my favorite fruit.  After lunch, Little Cameron and Olivia played with Polar Express trains and had a ton of fun!

12 p.m.                                                    1 p.m.

Cameron has been waiting for a week for his new rolling backpack from his Uncle Wit.  It was not supposed to be here until tomorrow, so he was so surprised after school when it was already here!

3 p.m.

Daddy made supper tonight which was a super treat for me!  While Damey cooked, Cameron played with his new backpack.
 4 p.m.                                                   5 p.m.

I missed an hour at 2 p.m., so I took two photos at 5 instead.  After dinner we transferred all of Cameron's stuff out of his old backpack and into his new backpack.  This is his new math worksheet.  The numbers go to 100 with some spaces left blank which he fill in all by himself.  I am amazed by his penmanship.  Later in the evening, Damien and Cameron read together.  Actually, Cameron read to his Daddy and it was very impressive.  He can sound out words like "bottom" and "spaceship".  No more cat, at and rat for him!

 5 p.m.                                                           6 p.m.

Another wonderful day at the Sevin house!  I'm glad tomorrow is the 11th.  That was exhausting :)

ten on ten :: September 2010

This is my first week participating in the Ten on Ten photo journal project, and I'm glad I finally did it!  I don't know why I waited so long.  The basic rules are to take one photo every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth day of each month.  So, without further ado, here are my ten photos for September 2010.

:: A house on Route 107 that I have driven by a million times and have always wanted to capture with my camera ::

:: The sunrise.  I am up every morning before the sun, so why not take a picture of it? ::

:: Waiting for the school bus.  This is a new experience for us. ::

:: A dog on the playground.  A big dog. ::

:: Outside Heritage Farm.  Looking forward to Fall! ::

:: Our new color in the living room.  And wouldn't you know it, the color is called "Orange Poppy." ::

::  Storytime  ::

::  One of my most favorite books to read to my babies, just sitting on the shelf begging for me to take a picture of it.  ::

::  Olivia's Fairy House glowing in the sunshine and blowing in the cool crisp breeze.  ::

::  Laundry.  There is no escape.  But on a day like today, a sweet reminder of what is to come; Football and Fall.  ::
