Day 62 - It Has Been a While

It has been a very long time since I have taken a photo of my babes sleeping.  Yes, they sleep together.  What you do not see in this photo is that they sleep in our bed with us.  It has been this way off and on since the day Cameron was born.  I know Supernanny would have a fit, but this works for us and I have never, ever believed that for our family it should be any other way.  I also know without a doubt that they will not be telling their prom dates that they sleep in their Mommy's bed ;)

I had to edit this photo, which I do not normally do.  I used Photobucket.  I cropped a little then changed the photo to color splash, and adjusted the fade so there was just a hint of the original color.  Then I added a black vignette and rounded the corners.  The only thing that I cannot seem to fix is that line to the right of the photo.  I do not know why that happens.  Photobucket works for me when I need it, but I really wish I had Photoshop Elements.  I cannot seem to find a version that is compatible with my Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5.  It seems that every software out there requires Intel.  I understood that Photoshop Elements 6 or 7 may have worked, but I cannot find it for sale anywhere.  Grrrr!

  5. Wow - you're a better mom than me. I cannot sleep with mine that often. I wake at every toss, turn, foot up my nose.. I just can't do it. But, that being said, I will find them and take pictures while they're sleeping. That is SO precious!
    Love this..

  7. This is so sweet. I love sleeping little ones. I'm sorry you're having a hard time with finding Elements. In the mean time, have you heard of picnik.com? It's a free online editor and it's pretty good. You can adjust exposure and all that good stuff, plus you can make collages and all sorts of fun stuff.

  8. I used to feel guilty about letting my little guy sleep with us until I read a wonderful article in my MOPS magazine. It was written by a mom who felt the same way and didn't tell people because she didn't want to hear their comments or reactions about it, but she said she wouldn't have it any other way because soon enough there'd come a day when her little one wouldn't want to sleep with her any more, so she was going to take advantage of it while she could. As soon as I read that, I let go of my guilt and now am so happy every time he climbs in bed with us....I even look forward to it if the truth be told! :o)
