Apple Picking
This morning the whole family (yes, Damien had the day off!) enjoyed the cool fall-like weather and went apple picking. We went to a place in Canterbury that Damien and I went to before we were married. We haven't been apple picking since then, this was the first time with the kids. Cameron and Olivia got their own little bag to fill and Damien and I filled a giant bag with plans to make apple pies, applesauce and other yummy apple treats!
Olivia and Cameron really enjoyed tasting their apples. I love this photo. It is after their very first bite and they are both making the same kind of face.
There were goats for the kids to feed and a hay ride.
I tried to get a photo of the two kids for our Christmas card. Olivia wouldn't keep her hands, or her mouth, off of the apples!
I love this photo of Olivia trying to carry the bag of apples. She so badly wants to be a big kid like her beloved big brother!
It was a wonderful morning. I love fall! I can't say it enough. I love fall!

I LOVE fall too! Apple picking is just one of those things that brings a family together, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! We are going apple picking today! I can't wait to go! Hey- how did you get your pic on your title to fit? I couldn't for the life of me figure it out, but I was also setting it up at work and I suppose wasn't as focused as I could have been. Ha-ha. I'll try again tonight.
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda- Cute apple picking pictures. Which orchard did you go to? We might have to check that one out and see the goats :).
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall!

Those apples look pretty tasty. We were hoping to get out and do some picking as well...but...we're barely finding the time to eat an apple nevermind pick it!
ReplyDeleteWe love apple-picking too! So many great things to do with apples. We're hoping to get a huge load to make sauce again. Yum. Apples all year!
