Day 109 - Super "duper" Moon!!

Tonight I packed the kids up and headed to the seacoast to watch the moon rise.  Yes, I wanted to take photos, but it really was about the experience for the kids.  I swear ;)

I also got to see a friend I have not seen in a few years.  He treated us to dinner and the kids really took a liking to him.  Having a friend in/around the town we are moving to is going to make the transition so much easier!  After dinner we picked up Damien at the fire station.  It was our very first visit to his new house.  I left the camera in the car.  I did not want to be "that lady with the camera" on our first meeting :)

Then it was off to the beach.  I got these.  I am proud of them.  It is only the beginning.  My very first time shooting the moon rise.  It can only get better from here.  I had fun.  A lot of fun!  The kids did too.  Olivia got right up in front of the ocean (in everyone's shot).  I finally had to tell Damien to get her.  She's blurry because my shutter speed is so low, but I still love the shot.  The last shot is Cam's favorite.  He says it looks like the ocean is on fire!!

  1. Oh....that last one is great! We couldn't see it tonight due to cloud coverage. I was so hoping that the forecast would be wrong.

  7. Shooting a rising moon at the coast has no equal. I love the "dripping" look of the moon and or sun when clearing the water. Nice job. I gotta drive down there next time.
