Today's prompt was actually what you do when you go out with your loved one, but there was no going out today. Yes, it was 55 degrees in NH, but I had three other children in my house besides my own. It's what I do. I care for other people's babies, and today I had extras. I know there are people out there, close friends and family included, who think I am crazy for quitting my pretty decent State job to stay home, but I look at this photo and I can honestly tell you I was never that happy at work. I'll go back someday, but for now, this is where I am supposed to be.
We are dancing in this photo. We do this a lot. The play list today included Aerosmith's "What Kind of Love are You On?", a little Van Morrizon "Crazy Love", some "Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown B, Jack Johnson "Supposed To Be" and "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond (a favorite, and my ring tone :) among many many others.
Not a fantastic photo, but it definitely fits the bill for the 365 project. It's who I am and what I do.
And just because it was such a lovely day, I will share some more with you. I opened all of the windows in my house today (turned off the heat, of course) so that we could bring the outdoors inside to us!
My hubby came home today!! And spent a few hours outside getting the ice off of our driveway. The photos are not great, but I had to capture the moment. Cameron got off the bus and went across the street to my parents house. I am going to miss being right across the street :(
Your photos are getting better and better!! I'm happier at home too. I believe that there is a season for everything in our lives. Being at home with those babies won't last forever (which can be a blessing or a curse depending on the day, I know....LOL); they're only little once. :)
ReplyDeletegreat shots! love the dog!

ReplyDeleteI love how you captured movement and energy in that first photo! And the picture of the dog howling out the window is great! So nice that you have lovely weather.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know what are the great German games that you've found for children? So far we have one, but I know little A would love to have some more he can play:)

ReplyDeleteThe joy on all of your faces is priceless. Staying at home raising kids is an often underappreciated job, but definitely very rewarding.
