Day 60 - It's All Down Hill

It was a gorgeous winter day in New Hampshire today.  One of those days when the sun is bright and warm, but the air is cool and crisp.  One of those days when I would have felt guilty keeping the kids indoors for another minute!  Sledding, you say?  Why of course!  For some strange reason Cameron took some convincing.  He wanted to sled in Grampa's backyard, but my Dad and I wanted to try his school hill.  Once we got him there it was all smiles!

I just love when I capture a moment of pure joy!

And of course a moment of pure joy mixed with a little bit of fear!

Olivia was there too, but she doesn't like to sled anymore.  She had a rough experience when we were visiting family in NY, so now she is perfectly content helping to push people down the hill.  There are so many more photos, but I am fearful of bogging down my 365 posts.  That brings me to a question for my fellow 365ers.  I have noticed that a lot of you have family blogs that are separate from your 365 blogs.  When I started this project I thought it would be difficult to manage two blogs so I only separated my 365 posts by label within my family blog.  For those of you who follow me, do you mind seeing my family blog posts mixed in with my 365 posts, or do you think I should I separate the two?  Honestly, I am leaning toward separating the two, but just wanted to know what you all think!

  1. Love your family photos. They make me smile. Our son is 20 and "so over" having his picture taken, so my life in photos is nothing more than what's around me. Keep sharing, they're very good.

  5. Sometimes when I want to post more than one photo I'll arrange them in a collage to save space, but I don't think you should limit yourself in any way. The whole point of the project is to take pictures, so shoot away.

  6. As a grandma, I am sooooo amazed that moms with young children can manage to HAVE a blog! I can't even imagine doing two- although one of my friends does. I see no problem in keeping them merged- that way you are documenting your family 365 days a year! Personally, I enjoy reading about other families.

  7. Thank you all! I have decided to keep them together. Kimberley made a great point about separating aspects of myself. I have tried that before, and failed. Melinda365, I agree. It is not easy to blog with young children, that is why most of my posts are at 11:30 PM :) I cannot imagine doing two blogs at 11:30 PM, so thank you all for your kind words and encouragement!

  9. I agree with Melinda...you are doing such an admirable job just keeping a daily blog with beautiful photos. I don't think you should put any more pressure on yourself! (I wish such technology was available when my kids were little; you all will have so much fun looking back at the history that you are preserving so wonderfully!)

  10. Great stuff Amanda! I enjoy seeing it all too. You have a great way with words and the pictures are fantasic. As far as splitting them up, I'd do whatever makes the project easier for YOU. It's all good and I don't think anyone minds seing whatever it is you want to post.
BTW -You said you'd show me how to add the menus! :-) Maybe tomorrow at Camera Club? Thanks!
