Birthday Party #1

We had a very busy weekend and the whole family is exhausted! It began on Friday evening, Olivia's birthday. Her party was not until Sunday, but of course we couldn't let the day go by without a little family celebration. I made egg and avocado sandwiches for dinner, which everyone, except for Damien, loved! Then we sang happy birthday and watched Olivia taste her first cake and frosting. She was very dainty about the whole thing, and even let Fischer eat the rest off of the tray and didn't even cry.

Cameron was so excited for his sister's birthday because he had seen, and helped pick, her gifts. I told him that, while it was his sister's birthday and we bought the presents for her, the toys were something that they could share. He loved the honey pot and stick and the little bumble bees. He also loved the amber necklace I bought for her and made me put it on him. Doesn't he look like a little surfer dude with his hair all wet and floppy like that.

We had a great night, just the four of us, playing and laughing and cuddling. It was a perfect party!
