Day 34 - Sometimes Even Stay-at-Home Moms Don't Have Time for Photography

I had a lot to do today.  It was the first day back to school, and our routine being off for a week really threw me for a loop!  I forgot how early I need to get up to get everyone ready for the day.  Little Cameron came back from his vacation, so I had to "Little Cameron-proof" the house again.  Today was my volunteer day in Cameron's classroom and even his teacher noticed I was a little off.

I spent the day playing "Guess Who", putting together puzzles, baking banana bread, making lunch, helping take down the Christmas tree (it could not wait until Epiphany), cleaning, knitting, cooking dinner, cleaning some more and then it was off to Bell Choir rehearsal.  I took my camera out once during the day and captured a few shots.  This shot was taken during puzzle time.  I like the focus.  That's about it.  But this is my life.  Nope, I don't have a career.  I don't get to escape the house and my family for 8 glorious hours of "me" time.  This is me.  This is a happy me.

  1. Working outside of the home is hardly "me" time (or glorious all the time!), it is work like staying home is hard work. Some days just get away from us, I am guilty of over scheduling certain days and a change of routine is always the cause of me feeling a little frazzled. I love the picture of the day though...amongst a hectic day it is a picture of perfect stillness and balance even if it lasted just a moment....that's what it is all about.

  2. Ha ha, it's too bad tone cannot be "read" on blogs. I was being sarcastic when I was calling work "me" time :) Didn't mean to make it sound the way you took it. I know that working moms have other difficulties that I don't deal with right now and I commend all working moms for being able to balance home and work!
