No TV November - Day 6 of 30

I am so thankful for the trunk full of dress-up clothes in the piano room.  Cameron was Batman all day today.  Not just any Batman; the 1970's blue Batman from the comic book series.  My Mom made it for my brother Dan, I'm guessing, in 1978.  I think I was Wonder Woman that year.  I must have a photo of it somewhere!  My brother Nate was Superman.  We still have the Superman costume, but not Wonder Woman.  Sad me.  Olivia would be so cute in that!

I am thankful for that trunk today because the kids emptied it and put on every costume they could get their hands on.  In addition to super heroes, we have butterfly wings, a witch, an angel, a ladybug... the list is practically endless.  We have also added Cameron and Olivia's Halloween costumes to the bin.  Beastie dressed up as a fairy and Eeyore.  Cameron only took Batman off to eat and to nap.  He even went to the playground in the costume.

The walk to the playground.

Batman flying by!

So mysterious.

Take a picture of me like this!

Ladybug girl!

Another successful No TV day!  For me too.  I'm nearing the end of my book.  I can't seem to put it down.  I baked cookies and made a lentil soup which Cameron really enjoyed.  The cookies were pretty horrendous, but I'll eat them.  That's what happens when you try to make dessert healthy!

Happy weekend everyone!

  2. Costumes do save the day! I've been living with Batman for over a month now. It definitely makes for a fun day.
