Wave
My new favorite children's book is Wave by Suzy Lee. It tells a story of a little girl at the beach chasing (or being chased by) waves. There are no words, only pictures, but it tells such a wonderful story. A story that is so familiar to any parent who has brought their toddler to the beach and has been blessed to witness their child dance with waves.
I am lucky to be able to witness this beautiful dance every summer.
Nate and Jennifer came for a visit with Cameron and Olivia's cousin, Evelyn. We were lucky that they got to spend a lot of time with us so we could make a trip to the beach.
I love this photo of Olivia. She looks so determined. She loved walking barefoot in the sand!
It warmed up enough that Olivia and Cameron got into their bathing suits. The girls didn't much like the ocean waves. They stuck to building sand... piles.
Later on we headed over to the playground. Cameron had fun climbing and I was amazed at how brave he was!
