Day 122 - You Sank My Battleship!

Inside-out pajama night worked!  I cannot attest to the spoons under the pillow as I removed them when I went to bed.  We awoke to the phone ringing at 6 a.m. to tell us there was no school.  Yippee!!  The kids were so excited.  Olivia wanted to wear her pajamas inside out again tonight.  I told her she could, but had to break the news that tomorrow is Saturday so there is no school anyway ;)

Today we spent the day indoors.  Olivia enjoyed the company of her friend Maria while Cameron and I played Battleship.  The boy loves his games!  Battleship is pretty strategic, and Cameron is very good at it.  He puts his ships side-by-side to try to throw me off and he knows how to deduce which direction he should put his next shot.  Clever, clever boy!

Thank you all so much for your advice on yesterday's post.  I definitely agree that telling her the truth was the right thing to do.  I know in time she will come to understand and also accept.  Today I answered, "The best thing we can do, instead of worrying, is to love each other and treat each other well every single day."  Her response was, "I am still going to worry about dying every day."  Oh boy.

Tomorrow we are off to see an apartment in Portsmouth and then to visit cousins.  Super-duper fun!

  1. My students told me about the inside out pajama thing, but I've never heard of the spoon under your pillow.

  5. So it was you and your children, who "made" it snow! Dang, it's time to turn them right side out now. Come on Spring!! I remember the inside out PJs. I can confess, when I was working at the school I wore my inside out everyday!!
